The staff here are always incredibly helpful and the facilities are clean and pleasant.

Fantastic renovated cruise ship from the mid 20th century, very interesting interior and historic ambiance. Low, extremely acceptable price (from 45 EUR!) is achievable if you book early in advance and internal rooms.

Getting to the ship hotel is quite complex. The Spido water shuttle should operate up until much later hours than the just presently 17h. One evening a water taxi, as entertaining as it was, charged me 15 EUR from Leuvenhaven to De Rotterdam ! which was a rip-off. Oddly , along this enormous vessel there are no clear signs for the entrance - you might well accidentally enter through the back door of the ship intended just for the crew.

The location was stunning and fantastic for Rotterdam, very close to areas accessible, the port of rotterdam festivities going on in-and-around katendrecht and the local metro station. The breakfast food, especially cereals, pastries, pancakes and fruit was excellent...

Nice location. We stayed only one night, but in a room with no window. We were with a friend who had a big problem with that. We also said one night ok but more than that would not be pleasant.

The location was amazing, at a medium distance from Euromast Tower.

The room is compact and beautifully designed with a well-equipped bathroom, and the breakfast offers a variety of options for everyone's taste.

My room was new-fashioned and nicely decorated with river views. the hotel was in a central location to Rotterdam centre. - the restaurant offered a 4-course chefs' menu with selected wines that was very well prepared and interesting.

The ship was excellent and the room was well renovated. The concept is unique.

However 1) we paid in full for the booking via Booked.net and the hotel staff insisted on charging us again using a higher rate. When I complained and showed them my receipt for Booked.net. they reduced the rate, but still charged me twice! American Express is in the process of recovering my money. 2) Our only meal there was badly handled, with the main course arriving over an hour after we ordered. The waitress gave us free coffee as a token gesture, but clearly service is shaky. 3) When we returned on the Saturday evening after spending the day in Rotterdam, the room stank of smoke, as if someone had sat in our room smoking. It was very noticeable, but when we called the front desk to check, the FO person said he could not really smell anything, being a heavy smoker himself. Very strange indeed. Overall, the ship has some unique features, after all, it is not often you can stay on a converted cruise ship from the 1950s, and my son loved it. But to charge twice for the accomodation and actually lie about the payment of the bill is not something I have seen many times in my life as a regular traveller almost everywhere in the world except Africa so far.

I truly enjoyed this hotel, it was quaint and relaxing. the breakfast was particularly good and delicious for every taste. 3. the staff were knowledgeable. 4. the rooms were great-sized and stylish, had smoke detectors for safety.

An impressive former cruise ship as a very original location for a hotel. Beautiful retro interior and good beds.

The food in the Lido was excellent and the waiting staff were also very good. The decor of the room was very good.

The bed was too soft. The shower was just not powerful enough

Had a really amazing stay during the weekend in Rotterdam. the breakfast was delicious with meats and many options for everybody's taste. - I greatly enjoyed the original-style building. - My great-sized and nicely styled room had an amazing view. - the staff was reasonably good and outstandingly accommodating.
